Westerville School District 

The culturally and economically diverse Westerville City School District includes 15 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, an Early Learning Center and an Academic Enrichment Center. The district serves 15,500 students who reside in a 52-square-mile area in northeastern Franklin County and southern Delaware County. All three high schools in the district have been recognized by Newsweek magazine as being some of the best in the nation.  

Home of Otterbein University 

Westerville is the home to Otterbein University, which was founded in 1847 and is a regionally accredited liberal arts university. This 140-acre campus is set amongst historic Towers Hall, which was built in 1872. There are approximately 3,000 attendees from the United States and other countries. Otterbein offers more than 70 majors and 44 minors, and many other individualized courses. They also offer five graduate programs: business administration, education and nursing, including a doctor and nursing degree program. 

Westerville Outdoor Entertainment 

A variety of metro parks and gardens are open to the public in Westerville. These include over 230 miles of trails and 27,500 acres of land. One favorite in the area is the Inniswood Metro Gardens. The flower beds and trees are spectacular and include a beautiful boardwalk to stroll along, bike or hike.  The Hoover Dam is another favorite for boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking, and fishing. The dam has a walking path for a beautiful view and includes a frisbee golf course for extra fun.
